About Going Global Matters

Carolyn Lugbill, CAE, MAM, is President of Going Global Matters. Going Global Matters was founded in 1997 to help associations and other nonprofits develop international strategies and plans that are sustainable and relevant to the organization’s stakeholders.
Ms. Lugbill has more than 25 years of experience working as an association professional and almost 20 years assisting organizations in navigating a successful transition into the international environment.
Prior to starting Going Global Matters, Ms. Lugbill served as the International Activities Director for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and before that, as Director of Industry and Government Affairs at the National Glass Association.
Ms. Lugbill writes and speaks frequently on various international-related subjects. She has traveled extensively throughout Asia, the South Pacific, the Middle East, South America, and Western and Eastern Europe.
She is a Certified Association Executive and holds her Masters in Association Management from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics from The King's College.
